William Glenn "Bill" Lubbers, age 61 of Pasadena, TX passed away on October 11th, 2016 at his childhood residence in Pasadena. Bill was born on September 20, 1955 in Pasadena, TX to his parents Roy C. and Virginia L. Lubbers. Siblings included Bill's older brother Sandy C. Lubbers, and his older sister Karen R. Lubbers. His nephew Grant P. Lubbers, and his niece Terri V. Newell were treated as his own children from an early age, and from that role he never deviated. William Glenn "Bill" Lubbers, age 61 of Pasadena, TX passed away on October 11th, 2016 at his childhood residence in Pasadena. Bill was born on September 20, 1955 in Pasadena, TX to his parents Roy C. and Virginia L. Lubbers. Siblings included Bill's older brother Sandy C. Lubbers, and his older sister Karen R. Lubbers. His nephew Grant P. Lubbers, and his niece Terri V. Newell were treated as his own children from an early age, and from that role he never deviated. Bill dedicated 30 years to Valero Refinery, from which he retired in January 2016. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his animals, watching football, riding his motorcycles, driving his sports cars, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family. While he lived a conservative life in many ways, he faithfully and generously donated to charitable organizations such as the SPCA, St. Jude's, and the Red Cross just to name a few.
Bill is survived by his nephew Grant P. Lubbers, wife Emily, and great-niece Kinsleigh of LaPorte, TX, niece Terri V. Riemer, husband David, great-nephew Conner and great niece Emily, of Houston, TX, and sister Karen R. Plamann and husband Ronnie of Pasadena, TX, as well as his two dogs, Ottis and KoKo. Bill was preceded by his father Roy C. Lubbers, his mother Virginia L. Lubbers and his brother Sandy C. Lubbers.
Services for Bill include a visitation at Grandview Memorial in Pasadena, TX on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5-8pm. Funeral services and burial are scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00am, also at Grandview Memorial with Pastor Dee Spears officiating. Pallbearers will include a mixture of family and friends who were closest to Bill throughout his time on Earth.
