Gene Kahler, 79, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away March 29, 2015.
Gene was born in Great Bend, Kansas on March 5, 1936. Gene's career started when he entered the navy at the age of 17. In the Navy, Gene found a passion in the Instrumentalism and Electrical field; over the next 24 years, he went to numerous schools and training classes to learn his craft. Gene had a very successful career working to the age of 78, as an Electrical and Instrumentalism Inspector at refineries, chemical plants, pumping stations and compression stations for major...

Gene Kahler, 79, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away March 29, 2015.
Gene was born in Great Bend, Kansas on March 5, 1936. Gene's career started when he entered the navy at the age of 17. In the Navy, Gene found a passion in the Instrumentalism and Electrical field; over the next 24 years, he went to numerous schools and training classes to learn his craft. Gene had a very successful career working to the age of 78, as an Electrical and Instrumentalism Inspector at refineries, chemical plants, pumping stations and compression stations for major oil and gas companies. He was also the owner of Trinity Bay Consulting. Gene was a Boy Scout Leader, football coach and a baseball coach for his sons. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and the Optimist Club. When Gene wasn't working he loved restoring old tractors, watching western movies, reading and attending Veteran's Day Events.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Lilly Mae Kahler; brother, Victor Kahler; daughter Connie Kahler; son Jimmy Kahler; and his grandson, Austin Kahler.
Gene is survived by his children, Terrie Kahler and Timmy Kahler; mother of his 4 children, Bette Jean Kahler; daughter-in-law, Debbie Kahler; granddaughter, Abby Kahler; sister, LaJuanta Adamson and her husband Tom; sister-in-law, Jan Kahler; Niece, Amber Kahler; nephews, Mark Kahler and Warren Adamson and his wife Marianne; his beloved Kitty's, Dewy and Huey; several great nieces, one great nephew and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas, with interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
