Lou Thompson, 97, a Pasadena resident since 1942, died Friday, March 27, 2015.
She was born in Pennington, Texas on February 24, 1918. Lou graduated from Galveston High School.In July, 1932 Lou was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Texas.
She was married to Floyd E. Thompson on August 31, 1935 in Groveton, Texas and they moved to Pasadena in 1942.
Lou was a wonderful cook, seamstress, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and wife. She loved her family, her church, and was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church....

She was married to Floyd E. Thompson on August 31, 1935 in Groveton, Texas and they moved to Pasadena in 1942.
Lou was a wonderful cook, seamstress, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and wife. She loved her family, her church, and was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church. In her senior years she was very active in the "Young at Heart" Club at her church.
She is survived by her sons Floyd Standley Thompson and wife Gayle, Lynn E. Thompson and Alisa White, L. Ray Thompson and wife Zana, Wayne A. Thompson and wife Pamela; grandchildren Ken Thompson and wife Tamara, Shiree Verdone and husband Armond, Teresa O'Neal and husband Dale, Dan Thompson, Kirk Thompson and wife Sheryl, Cory Thompson and wife Andrea, Amy Titus and husband Mike, Andy Thompson and wife Carri, Kelli Cooper and husband Randy, Melissa Weber and husband James, Traci Frederick and husband Troy; 26 great grandchildren and spouses: 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Golden Acres Baptist Church at 12:00 to 2:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00 with Dr. Royce Measures and Brannon Revel officiating. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Ken Thompson, Dan Thompson, Kirk Thompson, Cory Thompson, Andy Thompson and Mike Titus.
In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests donations be made to Golden Acres Baptist Church, 2203 Pansy, Pasadena, Texas 77503.
